January storyteller Dan Santow is a former journalist and television producer – he was senior writer and nightlife columnist for Chicago magazine, producer for “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” staff writer at People magazine in NYC and book reviewer for the Chicago Tribune. He also has written 5 children’s books, including biographies for Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Mary Todd Lincoln and Eleanor Roosevelt. For the past 20 years he has been in executive communications. Dan is a volunteer tutor through an organization called Tutoring Chicago, and works with a second grader named Zion on reading, phonics and math. Dan has very strong feelings about the Oxford comma.
