Sidetrack is an LGBTQIA+ establishment in the heart of Chicago Proudest Neighborhood. When planning your visit, here are a few things to remember:
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
“Is Sidetrack 21+?”
We welcome everyone over the age of 21 (with valid ID).
“Are you open today?”
Sidetrack is open 3pm-2am Monday-Friday, 1pm-3am Saturday and 1pm-2am Sunday.
We are open 365 days a year, but there are certain holidays and special occasions for which the bar may open earlier or later than regularly scheduled. We do our best to list this on the website whenever possible.
Beginning Friday, August 20, the City of Chicago will require masks be worn indoors (when not actively drinking). The city has NOT added any other rules to the mask mandate. Customers have been asking if this means the Mayor is requiring us to return to seated table service/occupancy limits, and the answer is no.
This new rule is specific that everyone mask-up while inside and not actively drinking. Masks will be optional in our outside areas: the rooftop deck and the front patio.
As of Tuesday August 3, Sidetrack resumed requiring patrons show a valid photo ID and proof that you’ve been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or tested negative within the last three days to enter. This policy will continue until further notice.
Proof of being fully vaccinated is a physical vaccination card or a picture on your phone of your vaccination card or other electronic proof.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we adapt to new rules and policies for public safety.
“Is there a cover?”
Except for special events, such as New Year’s Eve, there is normally not a cover at Sidetrack.
“Do you have Coat Check?”
Coat Check is $2, we accept cash or credit cards
Coat Check and Bag Check Policy
All bags, purses, coats and packages will be inspected prior to entry. Bags and large purses must be checked into bag check (complimentary). Sidetrack staff will determine which bags and purses must be checked in. We will also ask people to open large coats upon entrance. We strongly suggest that all coats be checked for your safety and the security of your items.
