July storyteller Benjamin Sprunger has appeared on numerous stages in Chicago as an actor – including nine productions with About Face Theatre. You can also see him on reruns of Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Will Trent, RJ Decker, and most notably as “Will’s boyfriend’s sister’s fiancé” on two Thanksgiving episodes of Will & Grace. Ben is also the co-author of an adaptation of Giovanni’s Room by James Baldwin – the first stage production to be officially sanctioned by the Baldwin Estate – which premiered in Philadelphia in 2025.
