January storyteller Alicia Obando has spent the last four decades working to help the voiceless and marginalized including women, children, animals… and now migrants and refugees. As a child and family therapist, community outreach coordinator and animal welfare advocate, Alicia has sought to help those most in need. She currently runs her own pet care and education business and volunteers to help Central and South American migrants and refugees find the resources they need to make a home for themselves in Chicago. Hear Alicia’s story Tuesday, January 7, at OUTspoken at Sidetrack.
