Alden Bell
May storyteller Alden Bell has been a member of the creative community for over 50 years. He has performed as a poet, spoken word artist and has been a narrator for various groups across the city including Trinity UCC, The Community Renewal Chorus, John W. Work Chorale and the Najwa Dance Corp. He has performed on stages across the United States and abroad, done voice-over and commercial work, and volunteered his talents for Reading for the Blind. He is currently a member of ASE, The Chicago Association of Black Storytellers. Hear Alden’s story Tuesday, May 6, at OUTspoken at Sidetrack 7-9pm (seating begins at 6pm).
