Dee Gilsdorf
September storyteller Dee Gilsdorf has spent most of his working life as an early childhood educator where he honed his talents for improvisorial storytelling. He has resided all over the United States and abroad, but has called Chicago home for nearly a year now where he writes and works and volunteers at the Center on Halsted in their Pride in Aging program. Dee also leads workshops on shaping positive identity narratives for queer adults and teens through the use of the visual, literary, and performative arts. This is his first time sharing a story at Outspoken. Hear Dee’s story Tuesday, September 2, at Sidetrack. Seating from 6pm, stories 7-9pm.
