Charlie Garrido
August storyteller Charlie Garrido is a Cuban American who arrived in Miami, Florida at the age of three, with his parents and younger brother. Full disclosure: when Charlie arrived he had no marketable skills and did not even speak a word of English, but he was completely potty trained. He is a graduate of Purdue University with a BS in Chemical Engineering and IS confident that he was the worst Chemical Engineer. Fortunately he has found success and passion as a Financial Advisor. A very dear friend and his SAINT of a husband have encouraged him to put his stories in writing, so here is his first story and his first OUTSPOKEN. Hear Charlie’s story Tuesday, August 5, at OUTspoken at Sidetrack – seating from 6pm, stories 7-9pm.
